Towards San Diego

Posted by Tim

I left yesterday morning out of the valley and went into Hollywood to meet up with my old roommate Tim.  He was house sitting in East Hollywood so I met up with him and we grabbed some Thai Food.  It was great to catch up as he's living his own flow right now and taking things day by day.  He is constantly trusting and letting things happen naturally.  It works for him.

I finally left LA around 2 and headed East on the 10 towards San Diego.  Crazy I know but I wanted to hit some nature before I headed down to San Diego and started the real work of finding a place to live and a job.  I have kind of been in my head lately so I wanted to get back in nature and relax my thoughts again and get grounded.  I went to the 15 and down to Highway 76 to 79.  It was an awesome drive and it brought me back to the previous 2 weeks of the trip.  At one point I was on E and the light was on and I didn't know if I was going to make it to the next station.  I hate that feeling as it was very hilly and twisty and I was picturing myself having to hitch to a station.  Not my thing.

When I made it to the 8 towards San Diego I got gas and headed West towards San Diego.  The 8 freeway is one of the nicest interstates I've ever driven as the pavement is super smooth and the views are great.

Wish I saw more of these:

I stopped in El Cajon about 25 miles east of San Diego and grabbed a Motel 6 room.  Tomorrow would provide a sort of return to reality as I faced real life situations and challenges of finding a nice place to live in an area where I could secure suitable employment.  Definitely going to be a faith thing as I certainly can't figure it out on my own.
