Recruiter Day

Posted by Tim

I woke up this morning with more stomach pain.  What the @#$# is going on?  I finally got over it right before my first of three appointments for the day.  2 of the appointments went pretty well and the other was pretty much a waste of time.  I never know but I can tell right away when someone knows their shit and can get things handled.  This wasn't one of those times and she basically left it with check out our website periodically and let me know if you see something.  Isn't that what she's supposed to do?  The last girl rocked and we had a great conversation.  She told me about some cool places to check out in San Diego that are coming up in a minute.

I moved to the Motel 6 in Oceanside and I have a wonderful pool view.  It is really nice and pleasant but I don't like staying by the pool with screaming kids at all hours of the day.  Not my thing.  I'm glad to be settled for 3 days, however, and not have to move.

This morning I took off again towards Downtown San Diego to check out the spots the recruiter mentioned.  This was after filling up for 4.55 a gallon with a .45 transaction fee added for good measure.  I felt like I was flying and getting charged for a Sprite.

Crazy hill that is way steeper than it looks.  From the top looking down it was like a Black run in the mountains.

Seaport Village was very nice.  I grabbed a map from the gift shop of Downtown in order to get validated parking free and walked around for a while.  There is an amazing view from the 40th floor of the Hyatt that I wanted to check out but it was closed until 3.  Damn.  The hotel was amazing, however.  I just love staying at amazing hotels with awesome views.  Not this time, however.

Check out the detail in the lobby.  It was like checking in at the airport.

The village was neat with eclectic shops and several psychic readers out on the lawn passing on their wisdom to unsuspecting tourist.

I went up to La Jolla from Downtown and started looking for a place to eat.  Settled on a burger place which was really good but burger and caesar salad was $11.50.  Give me a Potbelly Sandwich place again.

Mt. Soledad was nice and not really crowded.  I'd been there before and still nice.

It's Friday and not much going on.  Still looking for a place to live and a job I can deal with.  Interview for a sales position on Tuesday that looks promising.  I just need to be patient.  Tomorrow I'm set to do a group ride in the morning out of Nytro in Encinitas.  Should be fun and hopefully not too hard.  I'm right on schedule with 1 ride per week again this week.  Should be brutal.
