Starting Over

I spent another 3 hours putting together the bed and the night tables this morning.  Fun I must say.  I'm actually done now, however and get to sleep on the new mattress tonight.  It never feels like a solid mattress, however, as I didn't spend $2K on it but it should do the job.

I'm really liking my room.  The kitchen is suspect as there is an infestation of ants.  Didn't get to talk to her about that.  Also the internet is slower than slow.  I know for $5-10 more for 3 of us we can get blazing fast internet.  Not worth suffering in my opinion.

 

Went and had dinner with Sam, my new friend from Orange County.  He is super cool and he works in accounting for the Big 4 and is down here on assignment.  We went to Karl Strauss and had a few beers and a burger for me.  It was a good talk.  His girl is coming down with him on Friday and we're all supposed to hang out.

 

Tomorrow I have a meeting with another recruiter as well as Friday.  After that I'm done with the whole recruiter idea and will pursue other avenues.  If I keep doing what doesn't work I'll probably get the same results.

 

Time to go test out the new bed.  Going to some accounting event in the morning.  I was invited by a recruiter so I'm just trusting things and going with the flow and what is next. 

 

By the way, I rode from the house today and it was brutal.  The condo I live in is on top of a huge hill and I had to go up it to make it home.  I seriously contemplated looking for another way to get home as I would hate to climb it each time I rode.  Not sure there is another way.  The good thing is that the first mile is a 40mph downhill!
