I woke up today beat to hell. After a 4.5 hour tennis marathon on Saturday and a 4.5 hour bike ride yesterday, I'm worn out. I slept like a rock though. The ride yesterday was amazing. About 8 of us took off from Carlsbad and went down to La Jolla to the cove and the coffee shop. We took it easy for the most part and it was awesome. We climbed the inside of Torrey Pines which was really steep but got us up the hill seemingly faster. My face is beet red today as the sunblock keeps washing off I guess. I don't know what I'm going to do.
I went on an interview today for a mortgage company who is diversifying into mortgage mods. I am not interested in the position, however, and just don't see myself doing a hundred or so outbound calls a day basically telemarketing. I'm sure the product can help some people but I just know I wouldn't be comfortable interrupting people and trying to sell them on the product.
I took the test in Excel this morning for the temp job. I got a 91 and they said the average score was a 73 so I think that bodes well for the temp job. I didn't hear anything back today, however, so I'm sure they are preparing the position. We'll see.
The Olympic finals in the 4X100 last night was the most amazing thing I've ever seen in sports practically. When he touched the wall and I saw the electronic banner show 1 US I went nuts. Phelp's reaction was the coolest since Tiger's fist pump at the '97 Masters. He went nuts and they caught it perfectly on camera. What a dramatic, spellbinding performance. At the turn at 50 meters I was resigned to them getting silver and less than 25 seconds later they had won. I love the Olympics!
